9th London Regiment (Queen Victoria’s Rifles) Pair correctly impressed ‘4920 PTE G. WYLDE 9-LOND. R.’ The plaque named to ‘Gilbert Wylde’ Private Wylde is recorded as having died on 23rd February 1919, aged 31. He is buried in Wandsworth Cemetery. He presumably died of wounds recieved, but this is down to the new owner to research.
