Correctly named 3108 Pte R Todd L’Pool R Robert was born to Robert and Annie in 1898 and hailed from Birkdale. Two addresses found for him are 7 Vaughan Road and 71 Everton Road, both in Birkdale. He served with the 7th Bn and was with them as they attacked Pommiers Redoubt and managed to regain possession of it at Gueudecourt. He is recorded as missing on the 25th of September 1916 but later is presumed dead on that date, aged 18. He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial. He is entitled to just the Pair. Both medals have original silk ribbons.
