Extremely rare and desirable Teno dagger by ‘Original Carl Eickhorn’ squirrel holding sword and Ges. Gesch. Trademark. Nickel-plated hilt fittings exhibit no plating freckles or peeling off in places. It is quite rare to see one of these daggers with intact plating. The pommel features the three raised rings which go around a raised cog wheel. The factory burnishing remains intact. The crossguard features the unique TENO eagle with detailed open wings and feathering and is grasping a swastika with a cogwheel showing the organization’s initials “T” “N” centered in the swastika in his talons. The factory burnishing remains intact around the eagle and along the raised line created by the lower portion of the guard. The matching ferrule is in perfect condition. The trolon grip is a very attractive darker orange on the obverse and is a slightly lighter tone on the reverse. The grip is in perfect condition. The long blade is mirror bright with needle-like tip. The reverse is deeply etched with the TeNo eagle and special swastika, along with the Carl Eickhorn squirrel logo. The black leather blade buffer is in place and in fine condition. The scabbard is dent free and has the raised pebbled panels and smooth edges. The carrying bands have two accent lines that run around the mount. These scabbards were factory burnished. The throat surface is stamped with the serial number, “1442”, which matches the etched version of the number on the blade’s obverse ricasso. Complete with portepee. Complete with the very rare black leather TENO hangers. Impossible to upgrade!
