Rare Authentic Original WW2 British Army dressing bag 1940 Dunkirk Evacuation. in Survival & First Aid
€225.25
This example of WW2 dressing bag was actually produced during World War One as well as in the very early days of the outbreak of World War Two. I must note different from the more Common Second World War examples this is made of rubber canvas rather than the more common cotton webbing examples we see on the market place today which are for sale making this a rarer bag. the bag features leather straps and metal single buckles to fasten to the front. Also To front a we see a white circle with the red cross logo to the centre reads ‘SHELL DRESSING’ marked to the front. The underside of the flap is stamped maker’s marking and date ‘H.W. Ltd’ with the date 1940. The broad arrow is also still very present please see photos. The bag is in a good condition with signs of wear and aging. One of the leather straps is broken but could be easy to repair if needed. A Rare example of this hard-to-find pattern of bag and dated 1940 retreat of Dunkirk. Size 320mm x 300mm excluding straps Condition. good overall condition one strap is broken, please view photos
