Excellent condition feinzink constructed badge that has been tombak coated and then silver finished. Superb crisp detail with minor silver patina. The badge is double Assmann marked to the reverse. Hinge, pin and clasp in perfect working order and housed in an original Flak case that has some issues. The case is of the type that is usually seen housing a Gustav Brehmer badge, also at some point in history the inner base has been professionally replaced. This base appears to be made of light wood and has been covered in a blue suede like material. The white card surround is also non standard. The blue artificial silk upper and separator are in good used condition and are original to the case. Even with these issues the Assmann badge fits perfectly in the case and is apparent it has been housed there for a considerable period of time.
