A Royal Navy casualty group of William Joseph coffee. William was serving on HMS vandal when it was lost at Sea in February 1943 he was 22 years of age and is listed on the Chatham War memorial. When I purchased a group it was accompanied by an Royal artillery, forage cap named to SJ Whiting the medal box is dressed to Mrs J M Writing my assumption was his wife later remarried or it is his sister, so the forage cap must have belonged to the husband. These are fresh to the market and are presented as exactly how they came to me.
