1914 Iron Cross Second Class by Sy & Wagner in a private purchase display case. Early Imperial EKII manufactured with a government standard unmarked 938 grade silver frame and a black finished magnetic cast iron core. Heavy age patina to frame. The ribbon ring is stamped with the makers mark S-W (Sy & Wagner of Berlin) The private purchase case is black textured leatherette covered light wood with an off white velvet and artificial silk interior. Two aged elastic ties loosely hold a piece of original Imperial EKII ribbon. The velvet base is fitted for the Cross. On the rear of the case is the original price label. A metal clasp secures the case. Some foxing and age wear to both interior and exterior.
